Easter Fun! Taste Testing Peeps

It’s April and Easter is only a few days away so we decided to have some Easter fun today by taste-testing some of the new flavored Peeps. People either seem to love or hate Peeps – we’re in the ‘love’ side of the controversy. Also, since I eat dairy-free due to food allergies, Peeps are […]

30+ Easter Basket Ideas for Teenagers [updated 2021]

I will always make my son an Easter basket even when he is grown and moved out on his own. When they’re little, they’re happy with anything – jelly beans, stickers or fake tattoos. But now that they’re teenagers, we need some new ideas that will interest them. Adding gifts to a basket that are […]

20 Ways to Celebrate Easter with Teens

Kids are growing up but I still like to find ways to make Easter fun for teenagers. I just got this one from Amazon. Its actually ceramic even though it looks woven. I just posted an Amazon planter roundup on the blog including this one (link in profile)

Cookbook ā¤ļø. I collect them. I read them like Cookbook ā¤ļø. I collect them. I read them like novels. I learn about food, culture, and health. They bring me joy.

I’ve heard many people no longer have cookbooks because they just get recipes on the internet. But I will never give up collecting. I recently purged and am down to about 150. They fill an entire wall of my pantry (my odd 5-sided pantry).

I recently shared my updated pantry organization project on stories which included a peak at my cookbook wall and so many of you shared your love of cookbooks too. This prompted me to write a post sharing My TOP TEN Favorite Cookbooks on the blog today. Check it out - I’d love to hear if you own any of my favorites and what are your favorites.

We took a break when things got crazy but so excited to back dining at one of our favorites in Scottsdale. This month’s shake is full of Reese’s and Butterfinger goodness. So yummy and $1 of each shake goes to @azhelpinghands which provides essential needs to kids in foster care.

Hello Arizona ā˜€ļøšŸŒµ I’ve been living in Ph Hello Arizona ā˜€ļøšŸŒµ

I’ve been living in Phoenix for 15 years now. We moved from Carlsbad, CA to Phoenix in April of 2006 when B was just a few months old. The desert landscape continues to amaze me. I grew up on the East coast and it’s such a contrast with the all the open space, the mountains, the desert scrub and of course the cacti. Though the saguaros often look like they’re flipping you off 🤣

#flashbackfriday to one of the Easter eggs we made #flashbackfriday to one of the Easter eggs we made last year. At the time this was all new to us and we were trying to figure how to navigate living through a pandemic. Now 1 year later the vaccine is rolling out.

Arizona rolled back most restrictions this week but our family feels its too soon and we will continue to wear masks and only go to business that have safe practices in place. Schools are still requiring masks.

While I am vaccinated it will be a few weeks until my immunity has built up. My son is not vaccinated and because he is 15 he has to wait until they are approved for his age. At this time we don’t have enough information on how effective the vaccine is (especially with the variants) if you’ve been vaccinated and what the possible transmission rate it. A vaccine is never 100% so precautions are always important. So for now, we will mask and distance.
