I love making fruit kabobs because they’re always with the kids and a super-easy healthier snack. For years, I’ve been making my Pinterest popular Baseball Fruit Kabobs. When we were invited to a neighborhood Easter block party a few years and trying to decide what to bring to share, I knew Easter fruit kabobs would be perfect. We’ve been making them every year since.
Easter Peeps Fruit Kabobs
Fruit kabobs are simple. Just a few ingredients and supplies needed:
- bamboo wood skewers
- fruit – washed, peeled and chopped
- Peeps Marshmallow Bunnies or Chicks
A wide variety of fruits work. Pick a few of your kids’ favorites, what’s in season or what’s all sale. It all works. I try to pick 3 or more colors to make them more visibly appealing.
tip – if you use bananas or apples, coat in lemon juice to prevent them from turning color.
tip – chill bananas first to make them easier to slice and put on skewers
Rainbows are always fun too!
Rainbow Fruits:
Red – strawberries, watermelon
Orange – oranges, mandarin oranges (canned), cantaloupe
Yellow – mango, pineapple
Green – green grapes, honeydew melon
Blue – blueberries
Purple – grapes
Fruit Kabobs are a fun healthy snack
I love to make my famous Baseball kabobs when it’s our turn to be on snack duty
When I spotted 4th of July marshmallows at the grocery store I knew they were perfect for Fourth of July Fruit Kabobs. Strawberries and blueberries are perfect for the red, white and blue.
What about food on a stick that just makes it more fun?
Happy Easter! If you make kabobs, post a photo and tag us on social – we’d love to see!
