Raise your hand if you’ve gotten more into house plants this past year? Maybe obsessed? Call yourself a plant mom?
I’ve had plants on and off since my college days. About 2 years ago I got more into plants but I wasn’t having the best success. But the last year when I spent more time at home, I was able to focus on my plants and learn their needs. They’ve thrived and I’ve been adding to my collection. I’ve also been getting into propagating the plants that I have. More plants mean the need for more planters.
Despite the surge in plant enthusiasts, the availability of good-looking plant pots seems to be in low supply. I’ve had recent success finding great planters on Amazon.
I love all the head planters. So fun for succulents or for trailing plants like ferns, Pothos, or Philodendron.

Plant Pot Tips:
Always check pot measurements before ordering as photos can be deceiving.
If you will be planting directly into the pot, make sure this is a drainage hole (or that you feel confident drilling a hole).
Also, don’t increase pot size too quickly. This was one of my mistakes that I only recently learned. Increase pot size by 2 inches if the plant is rootbound. Research the plant as some plants prefer to be rebound (to some extent). If you like the look of a larger pot but the plant isn’t ready, use the larger planter as a cover pot and keep the plant in its smaller plastic pot.
