Ba-na-na Cream Soda

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #MinionsMovieNight #CollectiveBias

We’ve seen all 3 of the Despicable Me movies, Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2, and Minions in the theaters. My son’s favorite is the most recent of the three, Minions© 2015 Universal Studios. All rights reserved. The movie was released to DVD on December 8th.

We went to Target to purchase the MetalPak Blu-Ray/DVD Limited Deluxe Edition exclusive to Target as soon as it was released – the metal case is super cool. The Target special edition also includes 40 minutes of exclusive content.

We love to host movie nights and create fun food and drinks for the occasion.  Illumination Entertainment’s Minions movie inspired my recipe – who doesn’t find themselves singing “Bah Nan Nan” after watching the movie?  I created this simple recipe fun drink recipe for the movie. Italian sodas are a drink we often make at home. My son first had one at a coffee shop and we have since recreated many at home – we have a large collection of syrups so we can make our own ‘coffee house’ drinks. Its fun to try different flavor combinations to create new flavors and come up with a unique name for each recipe. For a lighter drink, omit the cream.

Ba-na-na Cream Soda

Ingredients

8 oz club soda
3 T creme de banana syrup
1 T Market Pantry heavy whipping cream
Market Pantry whipped dairy topping
ice
yellow sprinkles

Instructions

Step 1: Fill a tall glass half full with ice.

Step 2: Add Cream de Banana Syrup and whipping cream.

Step 3: Add club soda and stir.

Step 4: Right before serving, add the whipped topping, some sprinkles and enjoy.

Do you have a favorite minions’ character? My son’s is Bob and I think I have to agree with his choice.

Have you purchased your copy from Target yet? Hosting a Minions movie viewing party is a great activity to do over the upcoming winter break. And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick up ingredients for Ba-na-na Cream Sodas. Target is the perfect one-stop-shop for all your movie night needs.

I have never made a cream soda, but what a fun idea! I will definitely have to do this for my kids, as they're always begging for it. What a perfect Minions movie night treat #client
