My family is a huge fan of the Arizona Science Center – we have a membership and visit often. The Science Center has rotating special exhibits and we always enjoy going when there’s a new exhibit. One of my son’s favorite was the Egyptian exhibit last year. Their current exhibit, which can be experienced through January 10th, is Dinosaurs in Motion. Make sure you read to the end of this post because there’s a very exciting giveaway.
Dinosaurs in Motion includes 14 life-sized sculptures of dinosaurs and related species. These sculptures were created by North Carolina artist John Payne and are made from recycled materials. The really cool part of these sculptures is that they move and not only that, you can control them through levers and video game controllers.
The exhibit blends art and science – the art being sketches and sculptures and the science being robotics, kinetics, and biomechanics. The T-Rex sculpture is awesome with its huge size and you can control its head and make it roar – what kid isn’t captivated by that?
Now to the exciting part. We are hosting a giveaway with several other Arizona bloggers, for a chance for you to win a family 4 pack of tickets to the Arizona Science Center. Giveaway runs through December 23rd at 11:59 pm. Wouldn’t this be an exciting Christmas surprise to find out you won tickets??
Disclosure: I was invited by Arizona Science Center as part of my relationship with Blended Conference and Blended Extended for a tour of the museum. I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are my own. #neverstopwondering #blendedconf
