Organization tips to make household chores simpler

I’m a big fan of organization – both with my time and things
in my home.  Especially important with
home keeping. Having a chore schedule for myself and my son keeps us on top of the
cleaning so its never overwhelming. Keeping my cleaning products organized, simplifies
the process because I’m not wasting my time looking for what I need.
My house is big

It has FOUR bathrooms. There are more bathrooms than people
living in this house.

It’s hot here in Arizona, we have a pool, which means we host a
lot of parties in the summer.

I have a 9 year old son. He has friends who come over for play dates – they’re also 9 year old boys.

At the end of each baseball season, we host the baseball team party for the kids and their parents.

So you never know what messes you’re going to find behind closed bathroom doors

Tip #1 – I have two cleaning caddies, one for upstairs and one for
downstairs – no need to for extra trips up and down the stairs because the
cleaning supplies are on the other floor. Caddies make it easy to carry all the supplies room to room.
Cleaning Caddy Stock List

Scrubbing Bubbles® Multi Surface Bathroom Cleaner
Disinfectant Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner
Scrubbing Bubbles® Toilet Cleaning Gel
wood cleaner
granite spray
stainless steel
stove glass top cleaner
an old toothbrush
cleaning eraser sponge
scrubbing brush
dusting cloth

My supplies needed restocking, especially bathroom cleaners. So a trip to Dollar General was needed. I purchased Disinfectant Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner and Scrubbing Bubbles® Multi Surface Bathroom Cleaner in addition to some other needed supplies.

Tip #2 – I use cloths for most of my cleaning tasks. I keep a small laundry basket in pantry (downstairs) and another one in my laundry room (upstairs) so its easy for anyone in the household to toss dirty cloths into the laundry. No dirty cloth left lying around the house and one step closer to going in the wash.

Tip #3 – To keep myself on track with chores I use Google Calendar. I
use Google Calendar to keep my entire life on track, not just chores. But today
I’m just sharing about chores. I have a calendar called ‘household chores’ and have
recurring tasks set up – weekly, monthly, biannual. The nice thing about google
calendar is that I can just toggle the calendar off if I don’t want to see the
chore calendar. Each week, I print my calendar for the week – its nice to see
everything from my son’s schedule, appointments, workouts, and my chores for the
week. Helps me to schedule my day when I see all the different aspects of my
life that must be coordinated each day.
Dollar General is offering a ton of promotions right now for Scrubbing Bubbles.

I live by my Google calendar, but I never thought to use it for chores. Genius!
