I love receiving Christmas cards every holiday season, especially photo cards. We display them across our mantel clipped onto a banner. Once the holidays are over, it’s time to take down holiday cards. Most of the ones I receive are photo cards and I just can’t toss all those photos. I love looking back over the years to see how families have changed and kids have grown.
What to do with all these photos?
Photo card rings are the perfect solution.

Materials:
Holiday photo cards
hole punch (1/4″ preferred)
loose binder rings (1.5-2″ diameter size) – confirm the thickness will work with the size of your hole punch (most hole punches are 1/8′ or 1/4;)*
basket
ribbon (optional)
number stickers – I prefer the 3D felt, foam, or chipboard stickers so the year pops.
*I prefer to use my Crop-A-Dile hole punch because it can punch through a large stack at once but any hole punch will work.
Step 1: Gather all your cards together. If you sent out cards, include your family’s card on top.
Step 2: Punch a hole through one corner of the cards.
Step 3: Thread the cards onto a ring binder.
Step 4: Add number stickers for the year to the top card.
Step 5: Tie a few ribbon pieces to the binder ring. This a great way to use up all those ribbon scraps.
Step 6: Store in a basket and display it somewhere so everyone can enjoy the memories year around.
Super simple and special holiday memories to enjoy in the years ahead.
Do you have a bunch of traditional holiday cards? Turn them into gift tags for use during next year’s holiday season – a great way to recycle.
Supplies
Use the punch to cut out parts of the cards that don’t have writing on the reverse side. Add them to your gift wrap storage so they’re ready yo go next year.
