Barrett-Jackson is the largest of the car auctions. Hosted at West World, the event this year goes January 14th-28th. Somehow after living in Arizona for 11 years, we had never been out to the car auction. So we decided this was the year to check it out. My son came with me and we both had a blast.
Is it kid friendly? There aren’t any kid specific events (no bounce houses, characters, etc) but my son enjoyed it. ]The first day, Saturday, is family day (no auction) and kids are FREE. He preferred the cars in the expo area.

We missed Justin Beiber, but did find his 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia that was up for auction
Me, I preferred the classic cars.
We both enjoyed watching the auction taking guesses how much the cars would go for. So I’d say there was something for both of us.
