Fourth of July Festive Chocolate Dipped Banana Pops
Chocolate-dipped frozen bananas made festive for the Fourth of July. If you want to try something that takes a little bit more work but is super fun, these make a great kid snack.
Banana Pop Ingredients
- peeled bananas cut into two to three pieces (crossways)
- dipping chocolate (preferred brands: Ghiradelli, Merckens. Callebaut)
- sprinkles
- skewers or popsicle sticks
Banana Pop Instructions
Insert the skewers into the cut pieces of bananas and freeze.
Once the bananas are frozen, melt the dipping chocolate. My preferred method to melt chocolate is to use a dipping pot but you can also use a microwave or double boiler.
Dipped the bananas in chocolate and place them on parchment paper to set. Add sprinkles on top (do this quickly because the chocolate will set fast because the bananas are frozen). Eat right away or store in the freezer in a sealed container.
Patriotic July 4th Chocolate Banana Pops
Ingredients
- bananas
- dipping chocolate (white, milk or dark)
- Patriotic star sprinkles
- skewers or popsicle sticks
- wax or parchment paper
Instructions
- Peel bananas and slice into 2-3 pieces. Insert skewers and freeze
- Once bananas are frozen, melt chocolate
- Remove bananas from freezer and dip in chocolate. Immediatley add sprinkles (chocolate will set fast because bananas are frozen.
- Place dipped bananas on parchment paper (or wax paper) and freeze
- Enjoy!
