Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

By: Dana Michele

Charcuterie Boards. Yum.

One of our favorite Friday night fun dinners is a charcuterie board paired with a movie night or game night. Meats, cheese, crackers, fruits, nuts, pretzels. We also always have a basket of bread slices, potato chips, and a dip or two.

Christmas day we often graze on meats and cheese with crackers but this year, it’s going to be this Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board. Or serve on a Christmas Movie Night or Christmas Eve.

How to create a Christmas Tree charcuterie board

ingredients:

  • Meats – salami, pepperoni, ham (at least 2 types)
  • Cheeses (make it simple by purchasing presliced). Use one piece for the star, cut with a star cookie cutter (or free-hand with a knife)
  • Grapes
  • Crackers – Choose 2 to 3 types. Use small to medium-sized crackers. For this board, I used Triscuits and Wheat Thins.
  • Nuts – Walnuts, Marcona Almonds, Smoked Almonds, Candied Pecans are great choices
  • Pretzels – Pretzel Snaps or Pretzel Sticks are great for the tree stump. Serve extra in a bowl on the side along with a yummy dip.
  • Rosemary sprigs

How to make a Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

Items needed:

  • large wood serving board
  • star cookie cutter
  • appetizer plates

Purchase an assortment of meats, cheese, crackers, fruit, and nuts for the board. Also, rosemary and pretzels to make it a tree.

Start with the pretzels for the tree stump. Row by row, build the tree with some rows of rosemary.

Use a star cookie cutter to cut out the cheese topper and place it on the board.

Enjoy!
