3 Fall Updates for Your Home

By: Dana Michele

Fall is finally arriving here in the Valley – this is when the weather here in Phoenix is at its best! I always like to make a few updates each season. I start to pull out the decor at the beginning of September and keep it up until Thanksgiving…then it’s on to Christmas.

1 – Fall Decor

Pumpkins, cornucopias, turkeys, fall leaves…all perfect fall decor updates. After Halloween, I pack away all the Jack-o-lanterns (no pumpkins with faces) but the rest stay.

2 – Fall Scents

Scents evoke emotions and memories. Fall is the scents of spice, citrus, and cranberries. I swap out my candles and cleaning products and soaps.Fall scented candles

One of my favorites scented candles that I’ve been using for years is Bath and Body Works Fall Leaves with scents of apples and clove spice.

I like to update the cleaning products that I use in my kitchen – dish soap, spray cleaning and hand soap. This fall I went with Mrs. Myers Orange Clove. Love that their bottles are pretty enough to display out on my counter.

3 – Seasonal Flowers

Time to update my flower beds and pots with fresh annuals. I usually go with yellows, oranges, and reds.

Do you update your home each season? What do you do for Fall?
