Tempe Festival of the Arts is this weekend (December 2nd-4th 10 am – 5:30 pm). Did you know this is the festival’s 48th year? So much going on – 400 Artists, 6th + Mill Makers, Chalk Mural Contest, Live Music, Festival Food, Food Trucks and Beer + Wine Gardens. The festival stretches from 3rd Street to University in Downtown Tempe.
Two big changes this year – the addition of the 6th + Mill Makers and more Beer + Wine Gardens. My first stop is going to be the 6th + Mill Makers for holiday gifts – I love to give gifts that are locally made.
Enjoy the perfect fall weather, do some shopping…maybe some holiday gifts and something for yourself…enjoy some entertainment and enjoy some good food. Don’t miss the 3 Beer and Wine gardens which are featuring local Arizona brands.
6th + Mill Makers
The newest addition to the festival is the 6th + Mill Makers, is a curated crafter focused section of the festival. More modern, hip vibe with an emphasis on locally made. Find it at 6th Street and Mill Avenue. That will be my first stop for some holiday shopping.
Beer and Wine Garden
This year there are more beer and wine gardens with three throughout the festival. Local breweries include Pedal Haus and Four Peaks Brewing Company plus some favorites including Gordon Biersch.
Food Truck Alley
This year there will be a dedicated Food Truck Alley with some of my favorites – food is one of the best parts of a great festival. Come hungry!
- Arizona Gold
- Costantino’s Italian Kitchen
- SuperFarm SuperTruck
- The Maine Lobster Lady
- The Rocket Food Truck
- Tornado Potato
- Yellowman Fry Bread
Plus there will be snack vendors and a food court. Kettlecorn, Carmel Apples, Fudge, Churros… Festival food, yum, now I’m hungry…is it Friday yet?
