Once the weather cools down I love exploring our local markets. This past weekend I checked out the new 6th Street Market in downtown Tempe. Every weekend October-April the market is held from 10-4 with artisans, food vendors and live music.
I love to shop local especially for holiday gifts – such a great way to find unique and special gifts for friends and family (and if you’re on my gift list, you may even spot some items that are going to be under the tree this year…but I’m not telling which ones…).
The weather was cool this weekend (finally) and it felt so great to spend some time outside browsing and shopping – to finish the day I grabbed lunch on Mill Avenue. Parking was super easy too – free parking available in the City Hall Garage.
Markets are always a great place to find unique jewelry and there were quite a few jewelry vendors at the market this week.

I love to add pieces to my home that are made locally and have an Arizona influence to them. I spotted some great art vendors both print and wood.

Love finding a vendor I’ve heard so much about – I enjoy mixing cocktails (do you follow me over on my other blog Cocktails and Cactus??) and people have been talking about these locally made cocktail mixers. I picked up a few to try. Don’t you think these would make great hostess gifts?

Loved this game that focuses on the National Parks. Since buying the National Park Pass earlier this year, we’ve been planning out how many parks we can hit this year. What fun for a nature-loving family.

Hungry after shopping? Have you tried Paletas Betty yet? Their Mexican pops are the best! they even have a pop just for dogs where the stick is a rawhide chew.
