Games, bowling, billiards, laser tag, gravity ropes, food and more – ingredients for a perfect family fun filled night!
I picked my son up from school and surprised him with a night out at Main Event. Here in Phoenix, there are two locations – Avondale and Tempe. Nationally there are 27 locations in Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Tennessee.
This place is huge! and so bright and new!
We started with a few games. My son was excited to find some of his favorites and a few new ones.
We took a break from the fun for some eats and drinks. There’re lots of options including the main menu of American classics, the stand alone Pizza shop and a full-service bar (including craft cocktails). Burgers (with bacon of course), fries, Shirley Temples (for my son), and a Bahama Mamma cocktail (for me). For dessert my son ordered chocolate gelato from La Bella’s Pizza shop.
Gravity Ropes
So cool
Never seen anything like it at an indoor entertainment venue
Gravity ropes is a series paths of ropes and beams high above the entertainment space. You get harnessed up which is then attached to a cable so there’s no risk of falling.
Each path is different – beams, stepping stones, ropes and more. Some have side ropes to hold on to, and others don’t. I decided I would try this with my son and while I don’t have a fear of heights, I couldn’t do the ones that didn’t have ropes to hold on to. But my son? He LOVED it. He was all over the different paths and did it two more times. I was amazed at how fearless he was and how hard he worked to get across some of the more difficult ones.
We played a few more games before we left. We ran out of time for bowling and laser tag so we’ll be back soon!
Have you visited Main Event? What’s your favorite thing to do there? Have you tried the Gravity Ropes?
