Taking Time Out For Mom

As a working single mom, I am busy always focusing on a million different things at once and often forget to take time for myself. I’ve learned that just taking a small amount of time for myself each week really improves my mood and helps me to feel confident to tackle my week.

I’m a HUGE Google Calendar user for everything including my work appointments, my son’s schedule, meal planning, and exercise. I have one calendar for my personal reminders and I’ve added a recurring reminder on Sunday evenings for a Bubble Bath – my personal appointment for some much needed me time. I usually follow this with a manicure and pedicure – its always a boost of confidence when your nails look good. Especially important to remember to do this during *that* time of the month.

My ultimate list of pampering supplies

  • magazines
  • lavender scented bubble bath
  • lots of candles
  • fun nail polish
  • salty snacks
  • chocolate snacks
  • wine

On a recent trip to my local CVS I stocked up on a few pampering goodies and supplies to prepare for *that* time of the month including U by Kotex® Click® tampons and Barely There® liners. U by Kotex® Click® tampons are perfect because it clicks when its ready to insert but comes in a compact size to easily fit in your purse.

CVS had perfect sweet and salty snacks. CVS’ Gold Emblem potato chips, cream filled sandwich cookies and fudge dipped mint cookies are perfect cures for my cravings (and they’re dairy-free!).

You included all of my favorites – a relaxing bath, anything lavender scented, and a combination of sweet and salty treats. These are perfect for that time of the month! #client
