It’s graduation season! College, grad school, high school, preschool. My son graduates from 4th grade next week (his school is K-4).
Graduation was always one of the busiest times for my sweet shop. I like to take cake designs a step further than just a graduation hat – personalize the cake with school colors or even a favorite color (a lot of girls I found, disliked the school colors and often requested their graduation cakes in pink or purple or even zebra print), something that represents your degree, hobby or the school mascot.
Besides have a cake look good, I always like to make sure it tastes good. My favorite way to make a graduation hat is using a 3D graduation hat chocolate mold (I’m working on getting a source for these). Pure chocolate! much tastier than solid fondant or gumpaste.
