My son is a huge Scooby Doo fan. For years he was never attached to any character like so many of his friends were (which is fine with me as we try to avoid all the licensed character stuff that goes along with it). When he was 5 he started to love Scooby Doo shows and two years later he still loves the characters. His favorites are Scooby and Shaggy. I’m kind of glad he picked Scooby Doo over some of the other characters – a classic character that I watched as a kid too.
So I heard that Scooby Doo Live, a musical, was coming to town and we decided to go all out and bought VIP tickets for second row that also included a back stage Meet and Greet and a goodie bag. We kept it a secret only telling him that morning that we had a big surprise for him after school. When I picked him up I made him guess but once I handed him a Scooby shirt he easily guessed
So we headed downtown a little early to make sure we’d make it on time and I was hoping to grab dinner once there. Everything closes at 3 or 4 – so he had icecream for dinner.
At 5:15 they let us in and escorted us upstairs for our VIP experience. Unfortunately Shaggy wasn’t at the Meet and Greet but he got to have his photo taken with Scooby, Velma and Freddy.
