4th of July isn’t one of the major holidays that I decorate for but I like to add a few festive touches. For holiday and seasonal decorations, I like to make use of glass jars, trays and Ball canning jars that I can add a touch to make it fit the holiday rather than having a completely separate set of decorations for every holiday and season.
I have a collection of canning jars some antique and some new. I use them as decor around my house. Love their simple decoration where I used one of my largest antique blue Ball jar and added some inexpensive red, white and blue pinwheels that I picked up at Walmart a few years ago.
I love to use trays filled with multiple items as decoration. The tray contains the items and helps to create an intention to the collection. I have a few wooden and metals trays that I rotate in my decor. I add some ribbon, bakery twine, and a doily with a stamped star to add a 4th of July touch. Sometimes I add a tea light or votive or even fresh flowers to my jars.
Finally, I used glass hurricane vase, added a red candle (which work great for Valentine’s Day and Christmas too), and tied a bow with some patriotic ribbon I found in my craft room.
All simple ideas. Each only takes a few minutes to put together using supplies I already had. Enjoy! Happy 4th!
